St. Tammany Health System & Southeastern Louisiana University

St. Tammany Health System partners with Southeastern Louisiana University to provide students meaningful, real‑world experience in healthcare through interactive programs and student clinicals. Together, these organizations prepare students to succeed as skilled, confident healthcare professionals while supporting our Northshore community.

Health Tech Connect Camp

This one-week immersive summer camp is designed to prepare and inspire high school students for healthcare career exploration. The program blends education, professional mentorship, simulation, and real-world observation to build awareness about nursing and allied health professions.

In summer 2026, we are offering two (2) identical camps. One camp will be June 8-12, and the second will be July 20-24. Apply at the below link. Applications are due by midnight on April 15, 2026.

Accelerated Nursing Program

This 18-month program is specifically designed to expedite the process of earning a BSN for individuals with non-nursing bachelor's degrees interested in pursuing a career in nursing. All classes, labs, and clinical experiences will occur on the Northshore, and students will have priority clinical placement at STHS, where they will learn to care for their community while working closely alongside our experienced nurses.

Early Decision Guaranteed Entry (EDGE) Program

The EDGE program is a direct-admit pathway for highly qualified high school seniors who are interested in earning a nursing degree. The program guarantees admission to the Southeastern Louisiana University School of Nursing for students who meet the eligibility requirements.

Southeastern Louisiana University School of Nursing

SLU's School of Nursing is recognized as a leader in the preparation of nurses. The program offers undergraduate (BSN) and graduate (MSN) degrees, including a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree. At the undergraduate level, SLU offers a traditional nursing degree program, an accelerated option for students with a prior bachelor's degree, an LPN to RN option, and a RN to BSN program.

STHS Board of Commissioners' Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship

As part of St. Tammany Health System's ongoing commitment and support of educational opportunities, the STHS Board of Commissioners' Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship was established to assist with student tuition, fees, and costs and provide future employment.

St. Tammany Academic Center
