At St. Tammany Health System, education has long been intertwined with our healthcare mission, whether in the form of mentoring new talent or helping advance the educational goals of our current colleagues.
In January 2024, health system leaders took that guiding principle to the next level with the christening of the St. Tammany Academic Center, a free-standing education facility designed to train the region’s next generation of healthcare professionals right here at home on the Northshore.
In January 2024, health system leaders took that guiding principle to the next level with the christening of the St. Tammany Academic Center, a free-standing education facility designed to train the region’s next generation of healthcare professionals right here at home on the Northshore.
Operated in partnership with Southeastern Louisiana University and Northshore Technical Community College, the nearly 12,000-square-foot facility caters to students at multiple levels of the healthcare spectrum, with an accelerated nursing program administered by Southeastern, NTCC associates degree programs in science and nursing, and an array of additional health-sector offerings.
Best of all, the region's best and brightest will learn everything they'll need to advance their future - and without ever having to leave the Northshore behind.
