At STHS, colleagues and their commitment to the health system are valued, and investing in colleagues and supporting their career goals and dreams is a priority. The Career Pathway Program provides colleagues with skills necessary to have a successful career path at STHS.

New Leader Orientation
At St. Tammany Health System, we are committed to preparing new leaders for success from day one through the New Leader Orientation program. New Leader Orientation is designed to seamlessly integrate leaders into their roles, ensuring a smooth transition while enhancing engagement, satisfaction, and retention. This program serves as both a launch point and a foundation for continued leadership growth through ongoing development opportunities. New Leader Orientation fosters a dynamic environment of leadership and learning—driving leader development, strengthening teams, and building a robust leadership pipeline for the future.
New Leader Orientation contains two aspects: a New Leader Welcome Event and a 30/60/90-day plan. Together, these initiatives equip new leaders with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed. The New Leader Welcome Event, held quarterly, introduces new leaders to our culture, strategic goals, and key relationships. To ensure a smooth transition, our 30/60/90-day plan provides a structured approach to leadership development. It includes in-person meetings, training sessions, and self-paced modules covering both leadership and management skills.

The St. Tammany Health System Leadership Academy is a prestigious, highly selective 10-month program designed to cultivate and elevate internal talent. Through transformative leadership development, participants unleash their full potential by embracing their strengths and addressing areas for growth.
This immersive experience blends personal and cohort-based growth. Leaders receive individualized coaching, leadership assessments, and customized development plans, while the full cohort engages in workshops and action learning projects tackling real-world challenges.
